Daniel Belcher is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Redwood North. Before establishing Redwood North, Daniel worked as a consultant in McKinsey & Co.’s New York office. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (B.Com/LLB) from Bond University and earned his MBA from Columbia University.
A passionate sailor, Daniel previously served as President of Australian Sailing and currently sits on the World Sailing Council. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing golf and spending quality time with his family, raising his daughter, Emma, with his wife, Lisa.
Steve co-founded Redwood North and oversees the acquisition team.
Steve was previously CEO of a property investment business.
Outside Work: Steve enjoys all forms of sport, particularly touch football. He is raising a little boy with his partner, Leah.
Josh is an Investment Analyst at Redwood North, focusing on deal origination and due diligence. He’s previously worked in Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) in Sydney and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London. Outside of work Josh enjoys the outdoors (Surfing, Golf, Camping) and loves to travel.
Jerome Chung serves as the Financial Controller at Redwood North, where he leads all facets of financial management. With a strong background in corporate finance and fund accounting, Jerome brings a strategic mindset and a meticulous attention to detail that underpin the company’s growth and financial stability.
He has held senior roles across multiple organizations, gaining extensive experience in financial reporting, systems migration and implementation, internal controls, compliance, and taxation. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Jerome is actively engaged in the education sector, contributing to the development of future accounting professionals. Jerome is a qualified CPA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance.
Outside of work, Jerome is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and swimming.
Wendy has extensive leadership, HR, and RTO experience and provides advice on people and succession related topics to our portfolio companies.
Nick is primarily focused on acquisitions and due diligence. He joined the team from ANZ Institutional Banking and has completed level three of his CFA.
Previously Nick was an Olympic level skier and coach.
Outside Work: Nick loves outdoor sports, particularly mountain bike riding and skiing in winter.
Zoe is the Executive Assistant and Office Manager at Redwood North. She has provided EA support to CEOs, Board Directors and senior executives for the past 20 years in the UK and Australia.
In addition to Redwood North, Zoe currently provides EA/Board Director support to Coles Group, REA Group, Sydney University, Cricket Australia, Appen and Enable Advisory. Previously Zoe worked for Sky UK, News Corporation, Foxtel, Commonwealth Bank and Mortgage Choice. Outside of work Zoe loves spending time with her two boys, travelling and hiking.
Greg was appointed Chairman of the Redwood North Pty Ltd group, effective October 23, 2023. Greg has been very active in the private equity industry for over 35 years. He was previously a partner at the mid-market private equity firm Champ Ventures and formerly the Head of Private Equity at AMP Capital Investors.
Greg was originally trained in the early eighties at one of Australia’s first private equity/venture capital funds, Audant Capital, which was a joint venture between the State Authorities Superannuation Board and State Bank NSW. He is a well-known and successful businessman.
Over the years, Greg has invested in and exited a broad range of investments, both in Australia and internationally.
Gordon is Chairman of the Board and Investment Committee.
Gordon comes to Redwood North following 20+ years in the private equity industry and co-founder of Catalyst Investment Managers.
Peter is on the Investment Committee and Board of Scully RSV.
Peter comes to Redwood North following 30+ years at Kennards Hire.
Chris has extensive experience as a CEO and Chair within the manufacturing sector and provides advice on operations to our portfolio companies.
