Daniel leads the firm, while supporting portfolio company operators.
Daniel was previously a consultant with McKinsey & Co.
Outside Work: Daniel loves to sail and is President of Australian Sailing, enjoys the round of bad golf and is raising a little girl with his wife, Lisa.
Steve co-founded Redwood North and oversees the acquisition team.
Steve was previously CEO of a property investment business.
Outside Work: Steve enjoys all forms of sport, particularly touch football. He is raising a little boy with his partner, Leah.
Nick is primarily focused on acquisitions and due diligence. He joined the team from ANZ Institutional Banking and has completed level three of his CFA.
Previously Nick was an Olympic level skier and coach.
Outside Work: Nick loves outdoor sports, particularly mountain bike riding and skiing in winter.
Alice has a BCom and a BBiomedSc from the University of Otago and a Masters in Commercialisation from the University of Auckland.
Previously, she worked for a corporate venture fund and before that in Life Science Innovation and Partner Consulting.
In her spare time, she takes French lessons and plays hockey.
Josh is an Investment Analyst at Redwood North, focusing on deal origination and due diligence. He’s previously worked in Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) in Sydney and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London. Outside of work Josh enjoys the outdoors (Surfing, Golf, Camping) and loves to travel.
John works closely with the Chairs, CEOs, and Senior Management teams of our Portfolio Companies, ensuring that each company has a clear strategy in place and the support they need to achieve success.
John has extensive executive and global business experience, most recently as Managing Director of New Zealand’s largest publicly listed wine producer. John has previous experience in finance and wealth management, and within a private equity owned software company.
Outside of work John enjoys spending time with his wife Becky and young son Jasper, exploring the outdoors, and racing vintage motorcycles.
Wendy has extensive leadership, HR, and RTO experience and provides advice on people and succession related topics to our portfolio companies.
Meg has extensive senior marketing leadership experience, including adidas and Red Bull. She assists our companies with project management, marketing and sales strategy, including funnels and lead generation.
Zoe is the Executive Assistant and Office Manager at Redwood North. She has provided EA support to CEOs, Board Directors and senior executives for the past 20 years in the UK and Australia.
In addition to Redwood North, Zoe currently provides EA/Board Director support to Coles Group, REA Group, Sydney University, Cricket Australia, Appen and Enable Advisory. Previously Zoe worked for Sky UK, News Corporation, Foxtel, Commonwealth Bank and Mortgage Choice. Outside of work Zoe loves spending time with her two boys, travelling and hiking.
Erica is an Executive Assistant at Redwood North, leveraging her extensive background of more than two decades in diverse professional settings such as start-ups, small businesses, and global advertising agencies. Throughout her career, she has excelled in various capacities, including Marketing, Operations, Project Management, and Account Management.
Outside work: Erica enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, and is also a qualified Reformer Pilates Instructor.
Greg Smith was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Redwood North Pty Ltd effective October 2023. Greg is Executive Director at Champ Ventures and was formerly the Head of Private Equity of AMP Capital Investors. He has over 26 years of professional experience in the Australasian private equity industry.
Greg is a director of Employment Services Holdings and Australian Portable Buildings, as well as Ortho Group, Jeminex and United Equipment within the AMP portfolio. He was previously a Director of Vision Group, Olex Cables, Sabre and a number of AMP subsidiaries.
Gordon is Chairman of the Board and Investment Committee.
Gordon comes to Redwood North following 20+ years in the private equity industry and co-founder of Catalyst Investment Managers.
Peter is on the Investment Committee and Board of Scully RSV.
Peter comes to Redwood North following 30+ years at Kennards Hire.
Chris has extensive experience as a CEO and Chair within the manufacturing sector and provides advice on operations to our portfolio companies.
